Our Studio

Little Heart Studio brings the magic of process art directly to children. Our mobile classes travel to private homes, schools, businesses, and event spaces throughout the greater Washington, D.C. area. We bring all the materials, instrcution, and fun directly to you so children can explore, experiment, and bring their creativity to life through the joy of making art.

We also host custom art parties, leading creative, hands-on art making activities at a location of your choice — perfect for birthdays and special events.

On weekends, we offer free pop-up art making experiences at Eastern Market, Washington, D.C.’s beloved outdoor food and arts market, where children and families can drop by our booth to make a craft in a lively community setting.

Because giving is at the heart of what we do, we also bring pop-up art tables to a variety of community events throughout the DMV to provide children and families with free hands-on art experiences.

What is Process Art?

Process art focuses on the experience of making and creating art, not the finished product. Process art is child-driven and fosters imagination, independence, exploration, and learning.

Our Philosophy

Rooted in Reggio-inspired principles, Little Heart Studio was created from the belief that early exposure to art and creativity shapes children in profound and lasting ways — impacting how they think, feel, and experience the world.

We cultivate nurturing environments where children feel safe to take risks, trust their ideas, and delight in what they’re making and who they’re becoming. Through creative expression, children strengthen their artist muscles while discovering new ways to move through the world with curious minds and big hearts.

We are born makers. We move what we’re learning from our heads to our hearts through our hands.
